Frequent Questions
How do I cancel my subscription or request a refund?
Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t allow app developers to handle the cancel or refund process directly. However, I can direct you to their support resources for doing this yourself.
Here’s a link to a article about how to cancel from your iPhone or iPad. https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/view-or-cancel-subscriptions-iph4e3e7324f/ios

Just an fyi, most features will still be available to you even without Creator Kit, as it mostly just gives you more of everything.
How do I save my work?
You don’t need to do anything. Whiteboard automatically saves everything as you go! All your drawings live in your drawing gallery, which you can access to reopen or delete old drawings, by tapping the folder button in the upper left menu.
If you’d like to save a drawing as a picture to your photos library, just tap the share button (the box with an up arrow) in the upper left menu.
How do I change the background color?
Changing the background color (without having to manually color it in) is pretty simple! Just press and hold on your desired color in the color picker for 1-2 seconds. If that doesn’t work, make sure the “Background color” option is toggled on in your settings (gear button).
I also recently made a video with my kids explaining how this works here: https://youtu.be/LbegU0QMTIs
How do I use the Apple Pencil?
There isn’t really anything special you need to do to use the Apple Pencil with Whiteboard. It should just work. However, I would suggest making sure it’s charged, connected to your device. If you are drawing and don’t see anything, double-check that you haven’t accidentally set your pencil to the same color as your background (like a white pencil on a white background). Don’t worry, I do it too.
How do I remove or erase a photo?
To remove the photo, tap on the trash button. It will ask if you want to clear the image or the drawing or both, just select image. That should do it!
How do I turn off Shake Erase if my page deletes when I put my iPad down too hard?
There is a preference in settings (gear button in the upper left menu) called “Shake to Erase.” Make sure it’s toggled off.
Is there a charge for using Whiteboard?
Whiteboard is free to use for the basic features. There is also an optional subscription called Creator Kit that gives you more of the free features. For example, with Creator Kit you you an unlimited drawing gallery and unlimited daily prompts.
How do I create a new board after saving a drawing?
Currently all you need to do is tap on the trash button in the lower right corner. It doesn’t actually delete anything, it just clears the board so you can start a new drawing.
If you would like to see all your old drawings tap on the folder button in the upper left corner. You can reopen any previous drawings tap from there to continue working on it.
How do I zoom in and out of the board?
To zoom in and out of the board, simply use the standard two-finger pinch gesture on your screen! Spread your fingers apart to zoom in, and pinch them together to zoom out.
